Welcome to the Burlington Northern Minnesota Division, a HO Scale Model Railroad located in White Bear Lake Minnesota. It is a considered a freelance prototype layout with an Era of 1973-1974. The railroad operates as single track point to point with an option to continuously run as a loop. About 20 industries are able to be switched out as well yard switching and mainline running.
The railroad was built with multiple previously built benchwork pieces from old layouts. About 35 ft of layout was built as portable layout in the 1980’s-mid 90’s named the Minnesota Single Track. It was a BN freelanced portable layout used at Mall and train shows here in the Upper Midwest. These areas still retain some original track work and scenery.
Currently, the layout is using car card and waybill system.
